A baker in an attempt to please a couple who had come
to a compromise about their wedding cake spent forty hours making it
look perfect.
The bride, Kia Parsons and groom, Billy Bunning
who recently tied the knot started practicing what compromising in
marriage is all about when they reached an agreement on the choice of
design for their wedding cake.
Kia wanted an
all-white tiered cake with cascading sugar flowers while Billy wanted
his comic superheroes designed on the cake, so the couple from the UK
met somewhere in the middle.

The baker - Julia Baker of Tier by Tier
cake design, designed one side as the traditional-looking cake the
bride wanted. On the other side, icing curtains reveal the logos of
Marvel characters Captain America, Spider-Man and Iron Man, as well as
Batman from the DC Comics camp.
In all, she spent
40 hours on the cake. It took 12 hours to make the sugar flowers, and
the cake-baking and building took about 28 hours.
Kia
and Billy were thrilled with the outcome of their compromise and photos
of the wedding cake has since circulated on social media.
What do you think of the cake? Was it worth the hours spent on it?
